THE ESTATE
The tour of our estate leads the visitor on the same journey as the wine itself. Through the vineyards up to a splendid vantage point, the 19th-century belvedere next to the Wild Boar Stone, after which Disznókő is named. From here the beguiling expanse of the Great Plain spreads out southwards as far as the eye can see, framed by the Tokaj Hill to the southeast and mountains far to the west. The estate cloaks the hillside, supported by renovated stone terraces. Being here gives the visitor some perspective on this historic wine region, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site declared in 2002.
The tour then leads into the state-of-the-art winery, iconic architecture that marks the commitment of AXA Millésimes to the region. Inspired by the traditional Tokaj cellars, the building has incredible use of natural light, as well as incorporating gravity for the most careful movement of the grapes.
A wine tasting in the historic cellars under the original presshouse completes the picture. Choose one of our wine tastings to explore the Disznókő wines – and see for yourself just why they are so highly acclaimed.
