2004
To me, the wines of 2004 are like a field of fresh flowers or even a stroll through the garrigue, in the South of France. The distinctive herbal notes of thyme and freshly cut grass mingle with delicious scents of honey, citrus and almond. Combining vivacity and creaminess.
The year 2004 marked the end of the characteristically early maturing harvest of previous years. The cool and damp season delayed ripening and prolonged the harvest. Consequently, the number of pickings and the timing were very important. I love that the winery is in the centre of the vineyards and going out to visit the grapes every day is one of my greatest pleasures. In quite an atypical vintage like 2004, this is particularly blessing.
